FAQs

General Questions

Q: Do you offer any paddleboard or kayak rentals?

A: We do not offer rentals at this time. We offer tours with groups of up to 8 people and always have a guide in the water helping you.

Q: Can you make a tour available if it's not on the schedule already?

A: We are flexible. If you have a group of 4 or more, please email us at support@aqua-beats.com or text us at (469) 213-0575. We can potentially modify our schedule.

Q: What experience level is required for your kayaking experiences?

A: Most of our tours are accessible to anyone who has not kayaked before. We offer instruction and practice kayaking before continuing the tour. Some tours require intermediate level of experience. Guests who are paddling farther or with dogs in their kayak should already be comfortable paddling and swimming if necessary.

Q: Are there any prohibited items on the tour?

A: Alcoholic beverages are prohibited and we kindly ask that our guests do not consume alcohol before the tour. These tours start when it's daylight, but they end when it's dark - which increases the risks.

Q: Are children able to participate?

A: Youth who are age 13+ may join our tours.

Q: Why is age 13 the limit?

This is required age by law for an individual to operate a vessel (even a kayak) on their own on Lake Lewisville. Remember, they will each have their own kayak.

Q: Do you have any double (tandem) kayaks?

A: We offer single kayaks only. This allows our guests to paddle independently and even face each other when they're talking - which is great!

Q: What are the weight limit for your kayaks?

A: The weight limit for our kayaks is 225 lbs.

Q: Is it appropriate to tip our kayaking guide?

A: Our guests do not get to see the effort that is required to setup and put away all the kayaks and equipment. Tipping is always appreciated.

Q: Where are you located?

We paddle in Lake Lewisville and launch most of our tours from Copperas Branch Park in Highland Village, TX (Exit from I-35E). Guests may also choose to do a tour at Doubletree Ranch Park.

Questions about Youth Nights

Q: Are parents able to stay on the shoreline?

A: Yes, parents do not need to be in the water with the youth. We offer the tours primarily at Doubletree Ranch Park and the parents can observe from the trail bridge.

Q: Do all Youth Nights need to be at Doubletree Ranch Park?

A: No - if the group agrees, we can also paddle from Copperas Branch Park.

Q: Do all youth need to have experience swimming?

A:For Youth Nights, youth should be comfortable in the water and able to swim or stay afloat on their own if necessary. A parent may join if that is not the case. (We all wear lifejackets)
