Q: Do you offer any paddleboard or kayak rentals?
A: We do not offer rentals at this time. We offer tours with groups of up to 8 people and always have a guide in the water helping you.
Q: Do you have any double (tandem) kayaks?
A: We offer single kayaks only. This allows our guests to paddle independently and even face each other when they're talking - which is great!
Q: Where are you located?
We paddle in Lake Lewisville in Highland Village, TX.
The address is:
Copperas Branch Park
101 Highland Village Rd.
Highland Village, TX 75077
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: There are no refunds once an activity is booked. This includes tours that are cancelled by Aquabeats because of unsafe weather conditions. You may reschedule or receive a gift card in the amount that was paid to Aquabeats.
You may reschedule with at least 24 hours notice before the time of your tour by texting Aquabeats Kayaking at (469) 213-0575 or emailing support@aqua-beats.com to inquire about adjusting your booking. Next day reservations will be considered as FINAL SALE. Rescheduled tours must take place during the current operating season.
Requirements and Safety
Q: What experience level is required for your kayaking experiences?
A: Our tours are beginner-friendly. We offer instruction and practice kayaking before continuing the tour. Even if you have been kayaking, it is important to follow instructions we provide.
Q: Do I need to know how to swim?
A: Youth who are age 13+ may paddle a kayak by themselves on Lake Lewisville. We have made this our minimum age requirement. However, parents know their kids best and if there are more questions then please email or call us to discuss any concerns.
Q: Are children able to participate?
A: Youth who are age 13+ may paddle a kayak by themselves on Lake Lewisville. We have made this our minimum age requirement. However, parents know their kids best and if their son/daughter is able to follow our important instructions. If there are more questions then please email or call us to discuss any concerns.
Q: Do parents need to participate with their youth?
A: If there is a group of youth who want to paddle together - then the parents can remain onshore. We recommend that parents join us in the water if the tour will have other adults paddling with us.
Q: Are there any prohibited items on the tour?
A: Alcoholic beverages are prohibited and we kindly ask that our guests do not consume alcohol before the tour. These tours start when it's daylight, but they end when it's dark - which increases the risks.
Q: What are the weight limit for your kayaks?
A: The weight limit for our kayaks is 225 lbs. If you are over the limit, you can use our sit-on-top kayak and your group can use the glowing kayaks.
Q: Can I participate if I am pregnant?
A: We recommend you talk to your doctor about this option. Our glowing kayaks are not sit-on-top kayaks and could be a challenge. You can always use our sit-on-top kayak which is easier - it is not fitted with LED lights.
Tour Information
Q: What makes Aquabeats Kayaking different?
A: We provide a guided kayaking experience that combines kayaking, music, and LED lighting in each kayak. Our guides have safety equipment to help struggling paddlers if we get too much wind. We paddle to Sunset Point for incredible sunset views and paddle back with our glowing kayaks!
Q: How is music integrated into the tour?
A: Guests are provided a JBL CLIP 5 speaker to pair with their phone. Most guests play their own music in their kayak and create their own vibe! If everyone in your group has Spotify premium, then it's possible to all listen to the same playlist. We recommend figuring out how to do that before arriving!
Q: What time should we arrive?
A: Guests should arrive promptly at the start time they booked. No need to be 30 minutes early, but 5-10 minutes is plenty!
Q: Do I need to sign a waiver?
A: Yes. Please sign the waiver prior to arriving. If the kayaking tour is a surprise for someone, they can sign the waiver from a phone when they arrive.
What to Bring
Aquabeats Kayaking will provide glowing kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets for each guest. Guests may purchase items like our peppermint-infused cooling towels and glow tubes to wear.
Q: What should men and women wear?
A: For women to have the most comfortable experience, we recommend athletic shorts, leggings, yoga pants, capris, or other flexible activewear. Paddlers will want to brace their knees against the sides of the kayak when they sit - for better control and stability.
Men should wear lightweight hiking pants or long shorts. Jeans and other fabrics that are heavy when they get wet are not recommended.
Water shoes are recommended for everyone. Heavy shoes and crocs must be removed as they could damage the LED lights on the glowing kayaks.
Q: What other items should we bring?
A: Guests can bring water and waterproof phone cases - but we have that for you if you forget.
